Graduate Scholarships

Members of MSHA work with the Community Foundation of Carroll County to maintain and administer a Graduate Scholarship fund for students attending Maryland universities, establishing guidelines, applications and standards for awarding grants.

Led by Karen Day, Director of University Relations, select MSHA members review applications and recognize exceptional students willing to commit to volunteer work with MSHA.

Scholarship Initiatives

Beginning in 2011, MSHA began awarding two $1,000 scholarships to deserving graduate students attending school in the state of Maryland.

MSHA awards scholarships based on solicitations from three universities — Maryland, Loyola, and Towson. Students must be a MSHA student member and they must be willing to volunteer with MSHA, which would be arranged by the University Relations Director.
