MSHA's 2012 Annual Convention will take place May 4-5, 2012, at the Hilton Garden Inn in White Marsh, Maryland, with a diverse offering of speakers, exhibitors, poster presenters and networking opportunities.

MSHA is Going Green!

The convention brochure is only available online this year. A final schedule will be provided in your convention packet at registration. Also, speaker handouts are only available online again this year. Check this area of the MSHA website after April 15 to download handouts. All available handouts will be posted on the MSHA website as of this date. Please consider the environment before printing; PDF handouts can be saved to your computer or mobile device for future reference.

From I-95
Take Exit 67B (White Marsh Blvd). At the first light, turn left onto Honeygo Blvd. Go down to the third traffic light and take a left onto Campbell Blvd. The hotel will be on the right.

From I-695 / I-83
Take Exit 31C/Route 43. Go 3.5 miles on Route 43 to the fifth traffic light. Turn right onto Honeygo Blvd. At the third traffic light turn left onto Campbell Blvd. The hotel is on the right.

Accommodations

A limited block of rooms are being held by the Hilton Garden Inn at a special convention rate of $129.00 per room for double or king with pullout sofa per night. Please call the hotel at the number listed above and mention the Maryland Speech-Language-Hearing Association convention to book your room at this special convention rate. This rate is only available until April 14, 2012.

Cancellation Policy

An administrative fee of $100.00 will be retained on all refunds. Notice of cancellation must be submitted in writing to the MSHA office postmarked, faxed, or e-mailed prior to the mail deadline of April 15, 2012. Because of our hotel commitment, cancellations for any reason received after April 15 will receive no refund.

Continuing Education Policy

If you do not attend a full course session, then no credit will be given for that course. ASHA, The Maryland Licensure Board and ethical practice dictate that the entire session be attended in order to receive credit for continuing education.

Registration

Registration is now available online at www.mdslha.org. The registration fee includes your selected courses, continental breakfast and afternoon snack on Friday and Saturday, as well as online access to all speaker handouts.

Notable 2012 Changes

This year lunch on both days is on your own. There are many restaurants in the White Marsh area close to the hotel, including Chick-Fil-A, Panera, TGI-Fridays, Liberatore's and many more. There will be no on-site lunch opportunities at the hotel. As always we will provide a continental breakfast and afternoon snacks on both days.

Members must have joined or renewed no later than February 1, 2012 to take advantage of the reduced convention rates for Members.
